Macungie
Macungie is the second oldest borough in Lehigh County and a close-in suburb of Allentown. The name comes from a Lenape phrase generally translated as "the feeding place of the bears." It's a small, walkable borough with a historic core, popular with buyers who want a short commute into Allentown without living in the city itself.
Breinigsville
Breinigsville is an unincorporated community within Upper Macungie Township, about 11 miles southwest of downtown Allentown. It's grown alongside the logistics and warehouse corridor along Route 100 and I-78, and draws buyers looking for newer construction and easy highway access.
Nazareth
Nazareth is a borough in Northampton County named after the biblical town. It's best known as the longtime home of C.F. Martin & Company, the guitar maker that relocated here from New York City in 1839 and still hand-builds instruments at its Nazareth factory today. It has a historic small-town center and a strong sense of identity separate from the bigger Lehigh Valley cities.
Orefield
Orefield sits within South Whitehall Township, just east of Allentown. The name comes from the limonite iron ore once mined in the area. Today it's a suburban community known for the Parkland School District, one of the largest in the state, and for township investment in parks like Kohler Ridge Park and the Jordan Creek Greenway trail.
Center Valley
Center Valley is an unincorporated community in Upper Saucon Township, south of Allentown near Route 309 and I-78. It's home to Promenade Saucon Valley (formerly the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley), an outdoor shopping and dining center, and to DeSales University. Northampton
Northampton is a borough along the Lehigh River, incorporated in 1902 during a boom driven by the Atlas Portland Cement Company. At its height, the Atlas plant here was the largest cement plant in the world, and its cement went into projects like the Panama Canal, the Empire State Building, and Rockefeller Center. The plant closed in 1982, and the borough today is a smaller, residential community with that industrial history still visible in its layout. Stroudsburg
Stroudsburg is a bit further out, the county seat of Monroe County and often called the gateway to the Poconos, sitting near the Delaware Water Gap.
